White film on Oscars eye

I noticed this film/growth on my oscars eye but don't know what is is. He has been thrashing around and hitting the glass full on in the middle of the night quite a bit but has settled now. Finally after about 10 days he is starting to eat but i am sure he cant see through that eye properly.

I cant believe he is still alive considering how hard he has been hitting around but no clue during the day why, i have 2 smaller oscars but no fighting at all and they swim together most of the time. Should i add anything to the water to heal that eye?




 
Yes i noticed the hole in the head he did not have that before not eating do you think no food for 10 days would cause that? Nitrates are around 20 and no nitrite ans ammonia, i have been feeding him mostly hikari gold and some bloodworms and earthworms
 
Sounds as if something is in the water irritating the O so I would do a nice water change,how is your ammonia and nitrate levels?...Just keep the water clean,it looks like a surface injury,and the eye should heal.

Nitrate is 20ppm and ammonia is zero

Oscars are resilient fish. You mentioned 2 other Oscars, but no tank size. This type of issue is usually water related, but you perimeters look OK buy and large. I'd do a couple large water changes and check perimeters over a few days.
 
Yeah I saw that after I submitted my post...I type slow lol...I wonder what has caused that Hole in the Head?...
 
180 gallon 6x2x2 i also have 3 blue acaras, 2 silver dollars, 1 severum ,1 brasiliensis and 1 bristlenose cat and 1 black widow no oscar is even interested in.
