hi mfk members........i just got a 180 gallon that i want to set up in a month but the class has stuff on it that wont come off on the inside so i was thinking of painting the inside instead of the outside does anybody know a safe paint that i can paint the inside of my tank with that will be 100 percent safe for my fish?

I've heard Krylon Fusion is fish safe, but also never heard of any reliable source supporting this claim either.

Can't you just cover this "stuff" with strategic placed aquascaping decor?

I use krylon fusion on all of my in tank plumbing. Give it 7 days to fully cure before adding water.

Although I agree with the above...

No reason not to paint the outside like normal and hide the "stuff" with decor, as long as theres not too much. Or even better yet: install a 3D background!

Yep. I've used Krylon Fusion as well.

+1 to krylon fusion with 1 disclaimer. You MUST wait at least 7 days before filling with water. I made that mistake and i had to scrape all the paint off wall while the tank was running with fish in it.

the 3d backround is a good idea dont know why i didnt think about that lol but no to the decor cause there is a lot of marks on the glass i need most of the space for my aro and florida gar

but when your fish were in the tank and you had to scrape it off did you fish live? i dont care if the paint get messed up and i have to redo it but i just dont want it to mess with my water quality and kill my fish.....i can paint it this week and i am not setting the tank up for a month so it has a long time to cure

Nah the fish were fine as it's non toxic but it was just a huge pain cleaning my filter everyday for a week
