I caught this guy in a lake where they only had Pan fish

I wouldn't be surprised that this lake has predators to control the panfish populations. No predators, no keeper panfish.
It was a small private lake the owner was pissed

Why would the owner get pissed that he has a channel catfish in the private lake? It's a necessary to have predators to control the panfish populations.
Because he didn't want catfish in that lake just wants panfish

Doesn't you think that it is important to have predators to keep the panfish populations healthy? Most trophy panfish come from private lakes that has predators.
Well that's not my lake so not my problem and he eats the fish so that's probably his reason
