I'm sure those fish will go to good use whether as food and/or sold for some needed extra cash for the familia.
Sadly, this is nothing in comparison to commercial fishing.
Its not, a common fisherman who work hard for their family dont work in a boat with electrical motor. They work in much more simple boats.
Its a pseudo sport fisherman. Just this. Killing what make himself so happy. Im not hypocrite, I kill my fish too, but not 24 pounds of fish.
And also, handmade fishing here has a lot of greed involved. As I said, dont think of Brazil like a country with starving people. Government dont allow this actually. There are poor people yes, but not starving.
I doubt you can just look at that picture and without a doubt say that that particular individual just wasted the fish that were caught and not actually utilize it. What you are saying is probably true and applies to a lot of people, but one thing I've learned in life is that you can't always generalized things. Things are not just simply black or white.
Im not saying they waste the fish. Of course not. Just said that usually this kind of guy is just to stingy. If you want those lots of fish why do you just dont buy it? Its expensive? So how did you buy or rent an aluminium boat if you dont have money to buy 20 pounds of fish to feast with your family?
And if every sport fisherman that go to this river/dam take a string of fish? There are fishes cultured and fished for this application.
I know it can be harsh to listen to a critic as the one that I did, but believe, I've seen many people doing what I said, and about black and white, I dont care for being politically correct.
The real bad thing is when you go to a place and just cant find the fish because they were overfished, or they are all atrophied and you cant find the Monster fish that I guess everybody wants here because of the intense period of exploration.
