beautiful setup! the leaf litter adds a very nice touch, what type of leaves are those? Did you cure the manzanita in anyway? A friend of mine tried using it and lost all his ropefish.

Thanks! those are guava leaves but i recently took them out because they are starting to decompose, i'm using ketapang leaves right now. I'll post some pics :)

About the driftwood, the only thing i did to prep it is soaked it in warm to boiling water for about 2 weeks.

Nice! Are you going to keep anything else in there or just bichirs?

Thanks! Im thinking about adding some leopard bush fish to serve as the mid dweller but i cant find any as of the moment.

If you wanted I think congo tetras could work quite well too, and would add a lot of movement.

congo tetras are pretty sweet, but I would think they would get eaten eventually wouldn't they?

The sticky said they're safe with smaller bichirs like your ornate. They're decently sized, and fast. If anything, they're also not expensive.

Congo tetras are nice, but i don't think they are good tank mates for my bichirs, their max size is about 3" so sooner or later they'r gonna get killed if not eaten either by my weeksii my retro or my aggressive ornate once he gets to 12"
