do you have any problem with sealing the glass to the redgard? did you paint the redgard before installing the glass?

No I actually installed the glass first, then covered it with newspaper while spray painting so the paint didn't go on the glass. And no, the problem with the sealing was because the wood had a slight bow to it so it required extra silicone in some areas

It has for me, no deaths, I think 8 or 9 coats, but you could always go more, 2 gallons but I only used 1.5 (I would recommend using all of it just to be safe) and I also fiberglassed the edges to be safe, and I got the glass at a glass store in NJ, I forget the name but I could look it up if you need it

And the questions are fine haha I had just as many while I was making it

Looking awesome!!!

Nice job brother... Now just make a few more back up "monster socks" so you can switch out fast or on the run and you'll be in business! You can also experiment with different filter medias and fabrics to use in the monster sock. I go to hobby lobby and get fabrics like felt etc for super cheap to use as water polishers etc in my monster socks.. Just an idea ;)

Glad to see it worked out for you! :headbang2

How is the monster socks made and are they better than an DIY wet dry

How is the monster socks made and are they better than an DIY wet dry

They are monsterpeacock's design and I drilled holes into a small gallon bucket and then put filter floss and felt inside of it and hung it where my overflow flows into my sump. And it really can't compare to a wet dry as the bucket is for mechanical filtration while a wet dry would be biological filtration
