I agree, I'll move to characins. It's interesting to see a cohab like this especially one with fry.

Your both right it is a pity there's no update and not likely to be one since the OP hasn't been on since 2010. Still we can hope that this thread may inspire others to try and perhaps see some successful wolf cohabs in the future.

When I first got my wolf I wanted to start a pack but only having a 75 now 90 I'm limited. There is also very few wolves for sale in my area. I had lucked out when I happened upon someone wanting to trade him for something less aggressive.

I bet it didn't last very long.

Maybe then again maybe not as they did breed, breeding usually means that the fish feel fairly comfortable and secure so they have probably been housed this way for awhile to reach that level of comfort. Also all the wolves in there seem to be well fed suggesting that none of them was a severe enough sub to not get food as well as all their fins appearing to be intact. Tattered fins due to aggression happens pretty quickly in a hyper aggressive environment, which one would assume during breeding the wolves would be more aggressive then usual.

Many Characins school, shoal or at least aggregate and aggression can arise in even more peaceful Characins such as SD's when not kept in the correct minimum number so perhaps the same is true with wolves. Perhaps wolves will aggregate at very least if kept in a large enough group.
