thats what i thought although there is a faint flowerline and the guy sold me him as a flowerhorn a few weeks back... since then all the pink/red is showing more, midas is picking on him a little hence the tail but they have eased off a bit.

It could have flowerhorn genes
they don't necessarily have to look like a flowerhorn when you mix to species together. I have a Texas x flowerhorn and it looks nothing like the flowerhorn it got the moms genes

if it was sold to you as flowerhorn then it is. but i see, his face more looks like a flowerhorn to me.

private buy mate lol... looks texas colouring defo more texas than generic flowerhorn imo, the hump/kok is not there and alll them spangles??
 
Flowerhorn, but feel free to call it whatever you like they're all hybrid crosses.
 
your right dude, just after an opinion of the best forum in the world rather that a random i bought it off lol!-) he is very placid and different to most flowerhornsn with all the blue, which i like which is most imortant when adopting a larger cichlid i guess.
