ive had him for 7-8 months dont remeber and i feed him hikari cichlid gold, actually he used to move the flat rocks around so i think he might be able to play with the ball, havent seen him play with i tyet though

oh, hikari huh? some fancy pellets u guys could get. :L lfs here only sell those regular cichlid pellets. i also feed mine earthworms and bugs.
and i think he doesnt play it man.
i tried orange and apple, he didnt like it. i even tried chopped carrots same result, but i nver tried green peas before. he only accepts meat and a very few pellets, and im a bit worried bout tht but so far so good.
My oscar eats peas, but mostly feed pellets, market shrimp, and fd krill. Interesting fact: IMO oscars - in general - are one of the most passive cichlids out there. Heres a pic of my guy "Chunk"
