short vid of frozen food training. It's going better than i thought actually. I might not need the jig line soon at the rate this is going. He already ate a chunk before this video. He eventually ate the last half after I removed it from the safety pin and dropped it after lights out. Developing a little bit of a raw spot on the chin, will get a powerhead and see if it helps with the rubbing on the glass.

I wouldn't use the safety pin like that. just throw it in. you don't want to accidently hook and hurt him.

I cut one side of the pin off and the sharp point off the remaining side. The pieces of tilapia are thick enough that he can bite without hitting the metal, and if he pulls the right way it slides off.

Thanks for the concern. I'm only gonna be using the jig line until the food is taken on sight. After that I'll be throwing it in, I just don't want food to get forgotten on the bottom while I'm converting to frozen, that's all.
