Really sucks cause my group really seemed to get along well. These fish made me feel the way Armatus used to. After the Armatus I kind of lost hope in fish and just focused on the rays. It's been years since being so excited about a non ray fish.
I understand the love of ray keeping and freshwater in general but honestly those eels in your 750 would be amazing. I've never had a spark for salt but your eels are making me think twice.
Couldn't agree more. Add a male and female Wobbegong, double the eel population, maybe a few small rays and enjoy.....
I should have messed with them a bit more before dropping the Tiger in, it's pretty entertaining seeing 4 big toothy eels all intertwined begging for food.
Paul - They've got a 375 corner tank to themselves. IF you want to see a crazy eel video youtube "Mr. Oliver likes to be petted"
Nope, I only use the moon lights on lower risk tanks. This tank has a 2' florescent night light that's on at night. I use smaller florescents as "night lights" on the higher risk tanks, they only get turned off when the 6' "day" lights are on.
Learned my lesson about pitch black many moons ago..... lol. (pun intended)
Need some positives besides that they are pure fresh water and currently available from Wes (Rare Fish)? How about that any eel in the feeding video was easily twice the price of these fresh water ones.
What fun would keeping fish be if the favor wasn't repaid? IF it wasn't for the VATF you had I probably wouldn't have some swimming with these little fresh water eels.
Sorry to see that. Rays, my wife thinks they are angelic when they swim. I tell her they are angelic killers. This is why I havent added my Armatus with them yet.
Have always had a thing for morays and dig seeing vids of yours.
