Dovii being bullied

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Long term they are both in trouble if you keep them together. You might get away with the dovii alone but many people on here will say a 6X2 isn't big enough for a male dovii for life.

I think black belt cichlid is also a good and rare fish.don't return it.keep both together after the dovii settle in tank.keep both together.6ft is big for 2 ten inch fish.also send a pic of ur tank I want to see

Male dovii can hit 16+ inches. The tank is barely big enough for the dovii alone let alone a black belt which can and do hit 12+. I say keep the black belt and rehome dovii. Best option in the long run

A 180 its 24" wide no? Plenty of room for the dovii. He gets 20+" he will need a bigger tank. BTW black belts can get 17".

I would re home the BB, u will have more fun with a dovii. Maybe find him a female dovii. You are going to have problems with the dovii and BB in the same tank.
