What's with the marks on the stingrays back? 4-5 inches really isn't that impressive.


I feel the same way. You should concider raising a fish from an egg. Shark eggs are readily avalible and make great pets. Did any of the aro's have yolk sacks? I as a few once and was tempted to buy them.

Its not impressive but he was only like 2 1/2 inches when I got him I just checked now he is 5 1/2 and no they didn't have yolk sacks and u mean saltwater sharks?

And the "marks" are not marks its sand that's stuck to his slim coat

6tanks, lots of fish & never a death..That's pretty gd! (esp if you've been in the hobby for awhile)..I love my fish too, but they die on occasion.lol (& I only got 4tanks lol)..gd luck with the baby aro

Yea I been doing it for a LONG time a few years my fish have matured a lot especially my 4 year old goldfish lol

That is indeed a beautiful Ray! Congrats on raising it. They're slow growers in general right?

Back on topic, Pics of the baby aro please! I just made a similar mistake which I have feeding freeze dried krill in my 20 gallon long. Best of luck. I had the choice between my little 2" guy, or a more sizable 6" one the store owner offered for $10 more. I too chose the challenge of raising it from a baby. It will make watching the 24" of prehistoric silver swim around my tank all the more satisfying in a couple years.
