Archer fish lower jaw was bitten off completely. He is still swimming around and looks like he wants to live.

I have him in his own tank now. Will his jaw grow back or should I just put him out of his misery?

I gave him to a friend a few months back and the guy ended up putting an Oscar with him. So I think the Oscar and him had it out. Then the other fish in the tank was picking at his jaw.

Good Lord...I don't see the jaw growing back and I think it will eventually starve to death unless someone knows better...What kind of Archer is it?

Post a picture. The lower jaw can't rejuvinate. If that's the case it will starve to death.

Maybe we need to see the picture of this jaw damage before making any assumptions like everybody does. Just because it is missing a lower jaw, doesn't mean it will starved to death as I've often found walleyes, trout, sunfish, bass, pikes and bowfin with their missing lower jaws, yet they are fat and healthy.

Well so much for making assumptions and too bad it wasn't a walleye, trout, sunfish,or a bass or a bowfin.

Based on what? Lack of picture and poor description of the damage?

Ehh,he said the fish's jaw was torn off....not just damaged,as you said,okay?..IT'S GONE!...and now,so is the fish itself.
