I believe last episode or the one before someone mentioned that animals weren't affected by whatever is causing the dead to rise. it only affects humans, conveniently ties up any loose ends I guess
 
Zombie wolves sounds sweet enough for me. I do believe SumoNinja has a point though. I was actually surprised to see zombies give so much attention to pigs for food though. It seemed like in other episodes, the walkers would pass up all the animals to get to humans. I thought that was a characteristic of zombies. Humans are top priority. Although, for the few animals that have been eaten on the show, it makes sense that they would move away quicker and stay alive for that reason.
 
I remember ricks horse being taken down and then the whole rat feeding thing. I can also remember random feasting in the woods. Where else have we seen animals besides that lady asking rick to help transport whatever it was she caught back to her man and ricks pigs inside the prison?

I honestly can't see them incorporating aliens unless they played a HUGE role in the main story. I mean in the comics they had someone else, some random, kill the governor. The writer on the Talking said it wasn't satisfying enough and even somewhat silly to do that on the TV show. I feel he would say something similar if the aliens were brought up. I really think that would ruin the show unless they did it perfectly!

I agree on aliens or really anything other than the zombies. I don't think the zombies are the show as much as the effect they have on the survivors who are left.

Having the zombies lose in head to head confrontations, but occasionally having random bites is introducing the right amount of danger to the show. Both through weeding out the weak and attitude/ingenuity I think it is reasonable that survivors would get better at handling the zombies as time went on.
 
If they added aliens then that would be it for me... I mean the zombies are getting a little old, but now without the prison lets see what happens since they dont have the safety of 4 walls and fences anymore...

My only qualm w/ the walking dead, why is nobody using bow and arrow? Other then darryls crossbow, nobody used bows of any sort, which I find unrealistic. Bullets are now a luxury in that world, plus they are loud and are better for use against people like the governor then zombies.

Bows are quiet, the ammo is retrievable, it just doesn't make sense to me they are absent. Especially seeing bow hunting is pretty big and it wouldn't be hard to find a nice compound, honestly would be easier then finding all those high tech assault rifles. Then again... MURICA lol

Now that they are on the run they are bound to run out of ammo unless they drastically restrict the use of firearms and resort to bows and blades to take down zombies.
 
^ ah yeah they're probably way low after the fight w/ the gov, hopefully they do start using them. I honestly see a group of people w/ 100 lb draw back compounds being more efficient at the whole zombie killing thing then a group w/ m16s and mp5s like they got. Those arrows wouldn't stop after one zombie, bullets wouldn't either but they attract more
