Sex my Midas/RD (with pics)

About 8" I would say, total length. Here are some more pictures. I don't know his history as I've only owned him for a little over a month.

Not saying your wrong but I don't really see anything indicating that this is not a Midas/RD and I don't know that this one picture could really give you that kind of information. I have seen plenty of other Midas/RD cichlids and I don't see anything special about mine to indicate it is anything else. Not trying to sound insulting, I'm a skeptical person by nature. Other opinions would be great on this. That or breaking down the reasons this fish is not what I bought it as.

Thank you. No worries... I'm sorry I called it a hybrid without asking a little more information from you. Seeing that you have only had it a month... Other than pics, is there any extra info you can give? Like was it a trade in or did your lfs order it? I could be wrong as well, but I have spawned/raised midevils and have never seen its shape. That pic of them lip locking really makes me think hybrid even more. It is very good looking as well and I hope it all works out for you. Only referring to the second as an "it" because we didn't get to see its tube. I'm sure others will chime in...
 
That's alright if you think it is a hybrid and I appreciate you bringing the possibility to my attention. I don't know anything else about it. I assume it was a trade in but it was sold as a red devil regardless of what it actually might be.

Right on. I'm not trying to throw you off in what your trying to do(nor argue because I have no proof lol)... Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents. The reason I sold my hybrid was because of it being sterile. So if your 2 pair up and have a few spawns and nothing becomes of the eggs... Then it will most likely be because he is a hybrid. Good luck with these 2... Hybrid or not I would like to see some fry from them.
 
I know your not trying to throw me off, no worries there. Now if they actually do spawn and nothing hatches I'll have a potential reason why.
