Hi Guys,

I've got a pair of Gold Severum. I've had them almost two years and I bought them when they were about the size of a quarter. In the past 20 months or so, they've laid eggs about
4 times and always managed to eat them. They deposited a huge batch of eggs on my filter intake earlier today.

I also have 4 Rotkeil Severum. I bought them when quarter sized about 7 months ago. Two have paired off and have laid about 3 batches of eggs in the last month or so.
The last batch went free swimming and I siphoned off about 100 fry. I'm currently keeping them in a separate tank. They also laid a new batch of eggs today.

Lastly, I have 4 Red Spotted Severum. I bought them when they were about dime sized and they are presently about 3 to 4 inches in size. Two have paired off and they managed to lay about 10 eggs on my filter intake cover this morning. They ate most of them shortly thereafter.

Hopefully you won't have any problems with finding people interested in some of the fry :)

You're not kidding. I think I'll keep these batches in the tank and let nature take its course. I really don't want to deal with a couple thousand fry.

I have a pair of green sevs that are constantly reproducing, but I just consider the severum frys free live food for the other fish in my 75.

Don't let the fry go to waste!!! Hopefully you can ship some! I'm in Cincinnati, OH and I'd love to have some of the rotkiel and red spotted if you could ship...email me @ john97williams@gmail.com My friend, his dad, and I would all love some of those down here!!! Hard to find in the pet stores...
