Going to Vancouver BC for the Holidays

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Last time I was visiting my brother I found some Asian Arowanas at Big Al's Aquarium. The shop I went to had one young Super Red, 3-4 RTG's and 3-4 Green Asians Arowanas. When I mentioned this, many people stated that there was much better places to look for Asian Arowanas in Vancouver than Big Al's.

Big Als is now Island Pets ( http://islandpets.ca/ ). The Richmond store has a nice Dreamfish Premium Red in stock now. They are getting a large shipment of Dreamfish reds, HBRTG's, banjars, and XB's for Chinese New Year. They should have some exotic rays and jumbo clown loaches in a few days too.

Come to toronto if you're really interested in seeing Asain arowanas.

Thanks for the guidance I'm definitely going to have to check out that location.

Edit: Didn't see that Stratos already responded.

That must have been years ago. Big Al's was sold and is now called Island Pets. They don't carry any Asians. Let me know if you find any places while your down here.

It was 2008ish since I have gone Asian Arowana hunting in Vancouver.
