Titration kits are touchy. Dirty viles, old water drops on the inside, not shaking the bottles, etc....can all lead to variations in reading. Different lights also give different results.

I agree. Also, with established tanks, consistent feeding and no new additions/changes, we know when w/c's are needed just based on experience. The uncertainty ime is with new setups and changes within the tank.

I got tired of doing all the tests with 4 tanks.. #5 on the way, I use the strips as a spot check, if something seems out of whack I get the master kit out.
