Hello,
My firemouth has recently gotten some weird area that looks a bit like ich. What should i do? should i move him to a different tank? i have a spare 10 gallon for feeder fish at the moment. He fights all the time with other fish in my tank but im scared that the ich will get bad and kill him. Again im not sure it is ich but i'm assuming it is and want to save him. What should i do?

Could you post a clear picture for an ID? If it's ich you have to treat the whole tank.

Yes post some picture, its the best way to be sure what you have before you try to treat. You need to know what your treating.
But assuming it is ich. The best home remedy for freshwater ich is salt, About 1 table spoon per gallon will usually take care of it.
There are medications that will also eliminate Ich if you are not a believer in home remedies. Here is a good link read this.

I'd skip the salt and just raise the temp of the tank--assuming its Ich. I just got over an ich outbreak a few weeks ago, that's what I did. Raised the water temp to 86 degrees and watched it slowly go away.

If you can see on his tail there is an unusual white spot it was a bit difficult to get a picture he just swam away every time I tried to take one
