Does feeding live crickets mess up your water?

I fed my convict a single live cricket that was hoping around my frog tank, and when he bit down and chewed, boom a cloud of white everywhere! Now the water is cloudy white! What gives? It's been 24 hours and a water change later and still the water is cloudy? What the heck? Any ideas? The filters are mature... Scratching my head on this one.

I feed cricket's to my African Butterfly fish never had cloudiness. Possibly something the cricket ate.

Idk I've fed crickets before and never had a white cloud result. I have had cricket pieces floating around sometimes but not a white cloud.

Maybe the cricket farted as the convict bit down on him and let out that awful. Mess...Sorry couldnt help myself...

But seriously, what did you load your crickets with before feeding them to your frogs / fish?

Or could it maybe (although a stretch) have been a pregnant cricket?

Ya I have fed a lot of them over the years never had that. You are certain it was a cricket?

maybe they were eggs, and you just blew a chance to start your own cricket business.
my fish love freeze dried crickets, and they crumble well for smaller fish. pretty expensive though.
