ID on bass

First picture is a green sunfish. It's the sunfish that most closely resembles a largemouth bass, but will only get to like 8". They can be pretty aggressive too, just a heads up. The second is definitely a convict, NOT a bluegill.
 
First pic is definitely a green sunfish. I catch small ones like that all the time when I go looking for longears. You can tell its a sunfish by the spot on the ear flap. You can tell it's a green sunfish by the blue streaks on the face and the white or orange edges to the dorsal and caudal fins. Neat fish, can be really aggressive.
 
Green sunfish are great to keep. Huge bass like mouths for a smaller panfish. Also bass are a part of the same family as sunfish so they are all related. Have fun.
