If I remember right, there is a river somewhere in South Dakota near a power plant where there is a population of feral JDs because the power plant keeps a portion of the river very warm.

For a population to establish someone needed to release alot of them.I wonder if whoever released them knew about the water tempeture and thought they would survive.

All it takes is 1 non-native male and 1 female to alter an entire ecosystem over a very short time.
But yes I'm sure, whoever released them knew.
Luckily they can't survive beyond the warm zone.
