Festae 9 month update. PIC HEAVY.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Anyone know if there are different subspecies of festae? Reason why I ask is I notice a lot on here with heavy black barrying but others I noticed, including mine. Are more solid color with a lot less barring. Mine is a most solid green gold color

My old pair of f2's had no bars. This how they looked all the time ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1388708996.931832.jpg

different??? sure someone will chime in?

Ok thanks guys. Mine has absolutely no black in it, but blue spangling on each scale and fins, which looks really nice. Looks totally different then the OP's pics I had to ask.

Now I look back at the pics #14 and 15 look female op. It's lacks the spangles in the tails that males have.

mine go from heavy barring to none depending on their mood, there are different colllection points and lots of threads here about the strains if you do a search, mine are supposedly F0 (so wild caught) rio tumbes (which is a river in peru) from dan at COA

Agreed. My girl has 4 looks. Stressed a bit( no color or barring ) Blue bars ( indecisive lol ) Black bars with blue Highlights ( spawning ) fire engine red and black bars (guarding)

Unfortunately, I don't have a pic of blue bars. When she does, I go to grab my camera and she's changed by the time I get back.

Male is even weirder. he goes barred to bright yellow green at the drop of a dime, but is always barred when guarding.

Great picc BTW! they look awesome. Looking to do a group buy from Dan very soon.
