Plucking all the way! Picking is pretty much for beginners. If I'm gonna pick, I'll pick up my guitar. I'm not too into slap bass but when someone's really good at it, it sounds sick!

I just started (got an amp and bass for Christmas) and I hate picking, plucking is way easier for me. I wish I could slap bass, It sounds awesome!
 
Good! Most people I know that play bass strum with a pick and I think it's just stupid. Once you get good at hammer ons and pull offs, slapping starts to sound pretty nuts especially if you play jazz music
