Yes, males have the bi-lobed anal fin while females have the straight anal fin with a small single hook.

It looks like op has little guys, probably to small to sex

Ohhh, is that how you tell. I just thought my fish had a birth defect without the long hook. lol
Yep, if ED doesnt care I can post pics of male and female. I was able to differentiate m/f by an 1 1/2 - 2 inches. (SL)

Beautiful species ED once adult.
Good job you shifted them though, Jack would have soon cleared them up.
These are from the genus metynnis as appose to Myleus of which the red hooks are a member. The Myleus group are one of the larger cousins to the former, having said that these particular ones do grow larger than normal Silver Dollars (M. argenteus) I have a friend that has a couple that are 20cm disc!
I'm a big fan of this much under rated family of fish we call Disc Characins.

By the way old Jack....WOW!!!!....never fails to impress...beautiful ray!

All the best mate!

Notice on the males there is no red in the anal fins, they have a bi-lobed anal fin and they also have a orange spot behind the eye just below the black ocelli. Females wont carry this at least I haven't seen it yet. I have a couple more smaller males also.
Females have the straight red anal fin with a smaller hook and no orange spot behind the eye.

If you look closely the female (top) in the third pic with the male, her abdomen is swollen even after not eating since Sunday night. Fingers crossed, hoping she is with eggs.

Females--first two pics.
Female (top)/Male (bottom) in third pic.
Pair of Males in fourth pic.
