Big Bother is coming to your car....very soon!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Also, I work at a buy here pay here dealership and was impressed with the gps system we use to monitor and recover vehicles

Haha, been down that road before.I had a car from one of those places and they could shut your car off from their office if you got behind on a payment and it could not be started unless they enable it.

Haha "if you don't like it you can always get an older car" - sounds like my dad! he done with newer cars all together...his daily driver is a 1967 Chrysler newport..

Big Brother has been in your car since OnStar.

My brother works for onstar..seems to me its just a in-car servant to rich people and old people haha.

Hopefully it will eliminate texting and driving...

It does nothing for that!! Dont jump on that band wagon. Out of the 30k plus people that die in crashes a year, less than 500 is because of texting. In fact in 2010, only 504 out of 33000 plus deaths (iirc) were even because of ANY kind of cell phone use.

Bull****. Only 504 were PROVEN in 2010.
Now add up how many times the number of people who text and drive has doubled since 2010. Its got to be a huge number.

BTW. I'm driving right now lol.

I hope you don't add to those numbers.

Makes sense...the way that kids are attached to their phones these days.

It is used for that, but just last week we had a car stolen off our lot. It was a great tool to watch everywhere they went over the course of an hour until they shut the car off. Then we disabled and had cops there in seconds and our car back that night.

And as far as texting and driving, the technology has been our for years and can be easily put to use by auto manufacturers, but no company wants to voluntarily limit owners, unless the government forces them. Even look at all the different laws around it in different states. Massachusetts has to have the weirdest laws depending on age what you can do with a phone

I text and drive. Never been in an accident. Young people get in accidents period. They'd probably wreck regardless of what's going on inside the vehicle because of inexperienced

All a black box does is record what was going on a few seconds before impact. What's the big deal?

Wont be a big deal until they relay info in real time and use it to monitor driving
