Guys, I need some advise..
My 11-12" shortbodied RTC ate 1-1/2" diameter suction cup with tube holder (the one that holds eheim canister input tube) 4 days ago and am getting worried about it...
I've read a lot of past similar situation threads about regular RTC's eating things and most people advised to just leave it alone and it would eventually spit it out, so that was what I was doing.. I'm getting worried though that the holder is preventing it from being spit out? I don't think its too sharp to cut but it does have somewhat pointed edges..
I'm contemplating using transmore to know her out then try to pry the thing out using tweezers but I'm not sure if I could actually do that if its already in its stomach (if I could reach it using tweezers).. also I'm concerned this might do more harm than good to the fish though so I'm a little apprehensive about doing it..
It has also sheded slime and is hovering (instead of lying on the ground) most of the time since I think its getting some burn/scratches in its stomach because of the protruding area caused by the thing it swallowed..
How long would you wait for it to spit it out until you trying to pull it out yourself? Should I use transmore or just take it out of the water and pry it out without any sedatives?
Any advise/help would be greatly appreciated..
