hey guys, just today i was setting up my oscar by putting sand into it. so, i let my oscar out into a pail for a while. then after finished setting it up, i put him back and he pouts in his cave like he never pouts before . lol after an hour or two he was still pouting. sooooo, i decided to take out some earthworms and showed it to him, then BOOM ! he bursts out of his cave like a missile and goes crazy for the earthworm and acts like nothing happened. :ROFL:literally, a MISSILE. hahahah

would u guys like to share your funny moments on your oscar?
 
When i still had my old oscar he always looked forward to seeing me everyday he would dart up at the glass and then beg for food and come to my hand to be petted however one time I had to leave for a few days and my whole family said he looked dead he had gotten all pale and was laying on his side and refused to eat or move ( I think he was pouting) the moment I came home and walked in my room all his colors came back and he was practically jumping to greet me this just goes to show how amazing these fish are don't know if it's truly classified as a funny moment just thought if share

Not so funny, but a good friend of mine had 2 oscars for over 10 years. One finally passed away and the other one was the saddest creature on earth. Stopped eating, swimming, I mean it was totally distraught for a few months before he died. Pretty sad to see but definitely shows fish have some sort emotion
 
When i was feeding my tank on the stand above my oscars tank i accidentally dropped a single pellet on his glass lid. He went CRAZY! He kept jumping to try and get it through the lid! Luckily he didnt hurt himself :) i love oscars... I dont care WHAT people say. And yes, almost everyone DOES have an oscar. theres a REASON why people buy oscars. They are awesome!

Yeah you gotta love'em. And at one point in time or another most everyone has kept an Oscar.
 
I like Oscars always did but they are the biggest drama queens around. Definatly a fish that like to over react. They are very intellegent fish this may just be part of their abilty to think and perceive situations.
