  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
midas is so pi***d... he hasnt left the opposite end of the tank! the pics dont really show how much damage he caused! this is at equal weight! black devil will more than likely double in size and what quadruple in weight??

how much heavier will a 28 inch wyckii be over a 15 inch?... i was shocked when i had that 23 inch micro the other week, compared to a 14 inch micro i would say easily 10x as heavy!!

The larger fish get the amount of mass the gain per inch is exponential. As they get longer they add more weight than they do length. Safe bet it will be many times heavier. They 3' hybrid i had weighed 28 lbs versus when it was 2' it weighed maybe 8 lbs.

so 1 3rd longer in that instance is 3.5 times the weight! this isnt going to work long term is it lol....

wont take long either the way he is eating lately, he had 4 large mussel yesterday in one sitting then another today straight after a 50% water change!

he got a new bigger cave too so he is happy guarding the entrance and small back door at the moment!-)

he's finally started venturing out during the light being on... guess he is realising its his home now!-) he loves mussel and eats a cheap catfish pellet we have here in the uk, an occassional cooked prawn with the shell and as a treat lumps of sliced whole sardine (fatty i know!) which im using as his whole fish supplement...

he will eat three mussels a day but ive been giving him pellets only every few days, do you lot think this is a good diet?

Man those catfish are def no joke are they! I cant believe it can do that kind of damage to your midas in what 10 seconds you said?! Your def braver than me man i would be terrified to lose that terrific of a midas.

Sounds borderline adequate. IDK much about mussels as a staple. It's an excellent food but does it have any shortcomings, like e.g., crustaceans? Anyone? I'd go with better pellets and non-fatty fish as a staple.
