ahh i see, hikari gold also has bad ingredients, seems we should be feeding omega one super colour pellets to our cichlids at least... on the whole we are probably better sticking to a variety of frozen compiling all the good stuff and maybe injecting with vitamins and good additives (like the reptile ppl do) to give them the best?

cheers mate and yes that be the one, i almost bought it he (the big guy there) wouldnt come down too 80 quid so i walked away... went back two weeks later on payday and folded for 100 quid!!! ive since discovered his previous owner (dave pipe) who grew him out with a red arowana, he was also the owner of the 2.5ft ripsaw in the 7x7! im so happy with him. where are you from shane local i guess? edit maidstone i remember now!-)

I think your talking about Steve? He gives me deals sometimes but only if he's been stuck with it for a while. I don't know who Dave pipe is but they told me it got traded in because it nipped at an expensive aro lol yea that Niger is a beast! Wyckii is are such an awesome fish it's a shame they are so hard to keep, guess that makes them even cooler tho :)

If given proper whole fishes and ok pellets as a staple and a bunch of other stuff for variety, I don't think injecting and/or soaking would be necessary.

On your video - nice but I think you are way overfeeding. The wyckii already had a prominent bulge in the tummy before it took one piece rather reluctantly and refused any more. I'd not feed until the tummy flattens.
 
Agreed I do overfeed... he has a mussel or two everyday normally! When I feed the cichlids he comes to the glass and waits, I need to be less of a soft touch!-)
