My fiance bought me a $200 gift card to my local fish store for Xmas and I finally cashed it in. I was deciding between getting the fx6 canister for my upgraded 200 gal tank I'll have once we move after the wedding buuuuuuut.....I heard great things about the 12 gallon fluval edge so I picked it up. It's really pricey but it's pretty nice looking. I filled it with live plants and drift wood. I cannot wait to get a pea puffer in it~!!!!! lol. This store has changed hands twice in the past year so I was kinda nervous to hang onto the gift card, otherwise I would have put it to getting my larger tank. My mom actually agreed with me on my decision which is SHOCKING! I used some of my 80 gallons water and sand, now I get to twiddle my thumbs for a bit.

In other news, I've picked up some clown loaches to grow out and sell ....but I am sure I will get too attatched and end up keeping them lol.

I am so happy to marry a man that feeds my fish addiction BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
 
You will most certainly get attached to the clown loaches. They are a lot of fun to keep. The more the merrier. Mine "sleep" on top of each other like stacked firewood.

I've wondered about one of those edge tanks to use for fry.. at least its pretty enough and small enough can go on a dresser or something

I would say he is the lucky one to have married you.i have to beg my wife to go to the lfs with me haha. I'd say your a keeper

I am going to pick up more clown loaches this weekend since two is def not enough......heehee

The shop is in Hayward called Superway Aquarium. It's funny, a few years ago I met someone on this forum, and I had bought his albino oscar that he dropped off there. (I had a different profile on here but forgot my password)

The edge tanks get great reviews so that's why I gave it a try, and my brothers gf has the chi, the little 5 gallon one and she loves it. Here is a pic of the new setup:

 
honestly I thought they were dead like 10 times already with how they sleep, how funny and stressful on me!!! Between them and my ghost knife I need some Prozac!!!
 
Very cute tank. I bet the puffer will love it! :)

I hope it's not rude of me to ask or too off-topic but what does your BGK do that makes you worry?
