agreed, most likely a hypostomus mutt(hybrid)...maybe between a common and a L091. The fin count is exactly the same as hypostomus. The only difference is the orange coloring.

Well this pleco has ID'ed as Hypostomus sp "Rio Jatapu", thanks mystery person who sent me an email! Apparently they are not common pleco but a completely different species. They are not same species as Hypostomus plecostomus. Mystery solved.

So you looked through Planetcatfish threads/pics and stumbled upon the one hypostomus that looks similar that there's only one pic on the whole site and came to this conclusion with some ridiculous story about a mystery email.

Be careful, he is the MFK resident pro on all things fish. What he says, goes I don't even bother to question anymore. These plecos in the video are common all over south Florida. Paul has been catching them for a while now. I posted the above and he comes back with someone useless And the orange can be still seen on various sizes of unknown plecos of same "species" , always has to get the last word in
