Op, burn the tip with a lighter for a second if it catches on fire quickly or smells weird there's chemicals. And when I say a second I literally mean a second. Point is in 1 second of flame contact it shouldn't catch on fire. Obviously this is dangerous and I don't recommend it but if you really want to know. Ps have a fire extinguisher on hand or do it next to the bath tub so if it does have chemicals like a clear coat you can easily extinguish it. Or better yet do it outside and have hose on hand.
