Since we're on a roll with trucks I'll add my wonderful 2010 Tacoma. Great all around truck for gas mileage, Hauling stuff and space for everyone.

thats a nice truck/boat combo you have there. is the truck a diesel? the dual climate is nice. I just wish they had better technology in the dash. My twin has a new f150 and my gf has a new fusion with the "my ford touch" and after playing with their cars my truck feels outdated

so they can't tow for crap because of what they are, or your could not?
our specific truck has no power to begin with. It could barely pull the gooseneck with a forklift on it. Of course I'm towing in the rockies on I-70 but still.

No. Didn't want the truck belching out black smoke on my boat. All the salesmen said that the newer diesels don't blow out black smoke....whatever.

New trucks really won't. But that's because the factory tunes them down and they throw in all that emission stuff.
But if you want power and better mileage. Black smoke is what you get.

i noticed the HD wheels and it looks like the HD hood. the 6L is still a great truck for pulling. Smoke is caused by the engine running lean. doesnt matter what year or the tune, if you stomp on the throttle you will blow smoke in a diesel

Our boat is much heavier than our previous boat. When we first got the boat, there would be a jerk every time we started from a stopped position. We took the old truck in, and the service department said there was some "looseness in the rear end", whatever that means. It was a good excuse to unload the old truck and get a pretty truck. :) The first time we towed the boat with the new Silverado, there was jerk...turns out there is an electrical brake or something in the boat trailer....some kind of safety feature. Oh well, it was an excuse for a new truck. :)
