Uaru fernandezyepezi spawned

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There are maybe a handful of people IN THE WORLD who have done this.

And look at Peter's gorgeous, HITH free wild Uaru. Not an easy feat, either.

There was a guy in CCA who spawned wild heckel discus. Only a few people know how big of a deal that is, too!

So what's next, Peter - spawning Coelocanths ;)?

Matt

I am not sure anyone but you and i realize this....lol

Thanks for the kind words Matt!

I don't know what's next either. I'm getting interested in pikes, which is probably a bad news because I'm not good at managing aggression. Still just learning the basics amd trying some easier species. What a cool genus though. John has zebrina on his list. I'll gladly take donations!!

Some more white eggs:

If they're good they should start wriggling in the next 12 hours, right? If pandas are like U. amphiacanthoides the eggs should hatch in 2 - 2.5 days. Fingers crossed that the males are old enough to be fertile and they don't need even softer, more acidic water to hatch!

I had a feeling Peter could make it happen. If you can get the young ones past acclimation they usually end up being pretty tough fish. Please take videos if the eggs do hatch. Watching parents with fry will be a really cool sight.

I am also very excited to see if these eggs hatch. No easy feat indeed. Any chance you can post the hardness of your water?

Hey, not everyone on this site is a mouth breathing, knuckle dragging, hybrid keeper. :banhim:

HAHA, I didnt mean it that way.. I have ferns, and i know the pia it is just to make them happy... wanted everyone to realize what this was!
