Weeksii one month grow out-quest for 18"

Thx for the info. I dimmed my tank lighting last night 30 mins before feeding and they ate a whole lot more. All the polys have fat stomach now lol

I agree with this. My weeksii is very reluctant to eat unless the lights are off, as with my ornate and moke. I believe i read that they are closely related? Ill have to feed with the lights off more, ill probably see more growth with my shyer polys. I bought my weeksii at 6" in july and is about 9-10" now. Truly amazing job getting him to this size. Its comparable to getting a congi to its full size.

I am showing my age with this comment but I have always found that bichirs are like gremlins, feed them after dark and they turn into monsters

Thank you and yes I believe that for less aggressive/shyer the after dark feeding really helps growth
