Saw this on the bottom rack of the LFS, my buddy snapped a pic and sent it to me (I already told him not to use flash anymore haha)

Is this an SB or is it just insanely messed up? Looks like a jack Dempsey to me

I love how people immediately blame the caretaker, for a fish that hatched out deformed. I'd love to hear somebody say that the parent of a child with some deformity, is a bad parent.

It does look like a bad angle - though- it's a gorgeous JD.

Its for sure not just starved. Its stomach angles up into itself , I saw it eating so its not just super starved. I agree it does look really nice, if I had a spare tank I probably would have gotten for free to see of I couldn't bounce it back.
Its whole body looks shorter then usual too, I've seen JDs that size and thickness and this guy was just that large but crooked, almost like an SB RTC

Then it may have a deformed spine.

Looks like a starved JD with a sunken stomach to me.

I know a guy who had a nice jd that ended up worse than this...that was caused by lack of w/c's... really sad some people like owning fish a lot more than keeping them
