New living room tank!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sigh.

Threads like this make me sad. I need a wife who wants more fish tanks!!

Well if it makes you feel any better she also makes twice what I make a year...lol.

OK so I noticed this morning my mounts for the UV had broken. I barely touched it and it fell into my hands. One is broken completely the other is cracked. I emailed coralife this morning. UV also has a slight leak. I will address the leak tonight and hopefully coralife will get me new brackets...

looks good to me, I love tall tanks, i have a couple. not that I can plant in them, my fish tear em up.

Yes sorry little confused on what you got.. anyhow i want to know is any pros and cons to your 225 dsa...

I'm always OK with a slight derail. My DSA 225 is 72x27.5x27.5. It has one center overflow box. 3x1" drains and 2x1" returns. I run 2 Laguna 2000's on it. The stand is top notch. The glass and silicone are amazing. The canopy is sturdy. My only complaint is that using the glass lids in conjunction with the canopy is a PIA. Other than that I LOVE that tank.

As soon as my ballast comes in I will get better pics. I'm curious how the tinted back glass will look compared to the paint I usually use...

Well I got my new T5 ballast in. Swapped it out. And the light still doesn't work. I guess I'm going to try changing the bulbs. Makes me miss my LED's...

I stopped by home depot to grab some bulbs to make sure that was my issue. good news is bulbs fixed my light, bad news is they only had 4000k bulbs. But I took some pics anyways. New bulbs are on order...
