Hand feeding Billy Badass.

He actually begs for food and glassbangs, too. I rather regret not getting the lead-in to feeding him on video. I'll try again in a day or two. :)

Im beggining to grow fond ATF, but because of their current requirements would I be able to keep them with polypterus? Also how aggressive are they?

Aggression varies quite a bit from fish to fish. ATF are smart enough to have personalities and they are individuals. The main concern with these fish isn't aggression however, it's their flightiness. These guys can and do kill themselves by smashing into the side of the tank.

Any aggression issues that would pop up are most likely to be with other torpedo shapes silver fish. Most ATF tend to ignore things that doesn't look like food or competition.

Polys would go well with ATF for two reasons. First, they are bottom fish. ATF normally don't even acknowledge that bottom fish exist, let alone bother them. Second, polypterus are, along with gars, unique in modern fish in that they have ganoid scales. Ganoid scales are literally armor plating. Polys are a prime type of fish to keep with ATF.

I don't trust Polys. Along with Rays to me they are sneaky and dangerous. I've had polys that took eyes out of other fish. Sure they're won't get picked on but they can be the instigators however.

Agree with you on the Polys. Won't ever keep them again.....

Rays are sneaky and dangerous, just like most tank mates we all choose to live with ATF, however, if you size them accordingly I'm sticking to them being ok tank mates for ATF....

I plan on mixing my ATF with Marbles long term, but then again most of my Marbles are midgets.

Crappy, quick pic of Billy from today. Look at that head!
