Aqua-scaping with an Aba aba

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've always loved Aba Aba they remind me of somthing that should be swimming in a Cambrian sea. A true proto-fish looking species.

This guy works for massivor. Always a busy body rearranging drift wood and sand. If anyone needs help aquascaping let me know......

Nice tank! How do you get that huge splash on top of the water? Really big hang on back filter?

It's all in my 180 thread. I have a sump and I drilled a hole in the top of the tank for a return. I like it because there's no syphon possibility when my pump fails (all pumps eventually fail) and also it really agitates the surface. All my acrylic tanks are set up this way. My 360 and also my 450 have two returns just like this tank.

This dude deserves an update!

What was the growth rate on this guy and do you still have him? I've had mine for about 6 months an in that time, it grew from 4" to somewhere around 14".

Yup, still have him. It grew very fast initially and now has slowed down. Mine only eats massivor. I don’t feed live, I’m sure it would rip apart anything I put in the tank. Any other type of pellet or shrimp or fish fillet I try to feed, its just not interested. Hopefully it’s getting all the nutrients it needs and the growth slowdown is normal. Personally I like to feed a variety of foods just in case the pellets are missing something.

Need some update shots of all my stuff! Maybe I will have time tonight?

You have really nice tanks! Your 450 with the o. Niger catfish is awesome! It inspires me to do a similar sized tank someday!
