Rapps has some sp. Turquoise jewel cichlids not long ago, might still have some of those. They're crazy pretty at a young age, much more so then most other jewels, here's mine

They're bonded but haven't laid eggs yet, unless I just haven't noticed and they got gobbled up. Very easy to care for, especially if your waters hard.

Jewels are definitely an option. Wouldn't take up much room either.

You guy really don't think I could move F1 Green Terrors? What if I could get ahold of some white saums? Would they be any easier to move?

What about the wild abalios geos or the wild notatus severums?

What about the discus on Wetspot's list? Anyone know if they are the Asian or the German strains? If they are the hardy German strains, I might buy a set of four and see if I could get them to breed.

What about hemichromis frempongii? Very nice jewels?

yep, there are many species of jewel but most commonn in our hobbie are these, reds, and the infamous five star generals... these are double a grade examples mind you...

rapps has both cb large hemichromis elongatus and wild caught juvies.... I am thinking of getting some of these to grow out.

Unfortunately I can't afford shipping from Rapps on my own unless I am buying a few hundred dollars worth of fish, which doesn't happen very often. The only reason I am ordering from Wetspot is because I have a couple of local friends who are joining in on the order with me, so shipping will be cheap with it being split up.
