poor little guy sure is tore up. Make sure you give him some great water quality. But I think he'll be fine. If you have stress coat you could add that to aid in fin regrowth and slime coat. Watch him closely over the next few days to make sure he doesn't get fin rot our anything like that. Good luck with the little guy. I love black aros!!

Thanks man, I hope it makes it too. I have a3 inch silver arowana in another tank but waiting for the black and silver to reach 6in before I put them together. Also i've been adding melafix into the tank for the past couple days also, you think I should continue on doing so?

I had a baby black get beat up by two of it's siblings and looked far worse then that, and it recovered fully. Clean water is the best thing for it, keep your nitrate levels under 10ppm. Stop with the melafix, IME it makes arowana lose their appietite. Keep the water warmer around 83-84* and add some floating, live or plastic, plants to help it feel secure.
I don't think it would hurt anything. I don't claim to be a fish med expert tho. I would use a low dose for prophylaxis and like I said just keep a close eye on him. Keep us updated. What size tank are you going to put them in?
