new food for larger armatus

Found frozen yellow croaker at asian food store that works better for me than sardines which texture gets brittle after thawing. Anyone else found suitable replacement?

Yep,tilapia,swai,prawn and an occasional pinky mouse.

thanks, but forgot to mention I was looking for full body replacement. i.e. when it was smaller, it would only accept smelt with head. The cleaned headless smelt was ignored. Tried fillets but ignored. Maybe pinky will work. Afraid to feed it prawns cause of sharp head.

I get frozen gobies at the asian market for my catfish. The skin stays really tough so I can pack them full of pellets.

how big were the croakers? I've found like shad around 8-10 inches that would be perfect for a big armie.

6"-7" croakers, probably needs two to fill up. I also go some gouramis to mix up diet. I'm gonna try the gobies too.

Are wild shad safe to feed? I know someone who said he'd be happy to catch a ton and send them to me
