Can male Cubans have black dorsal?

triz, there is a possibility that the one in post 8 may be a male. There is some broken pigment in the dorsal fin, as it grows you may find out for sure. If the females have it backed into a corner, if it were me, I might separate it from them somehow. Females can be quite lethal.
I had a bifas that the females temporarily kept from growing, after I gave him his own tank, he quickly outgrew all of them and became quite stunning and fathered many fry.

There appears to be less/broken dark pigment in the anterior portion of the dorsal fin of the one in this pic, and the body color under the lateral line is also lighter, this is why I think there is a chance it could be male. Its profile and shape also seems to be more macho.
Male or female?
