Well water without water treatment chemicals?

I'm using Well and rain water in one of my outdoor ponds, without treating the water with any chemicals. So far the fish are thriving. Would this be safe with my tropical aquariums as well?

IMO yes. as long as your water is still within parameters. well water should not have anything in it. the PH is going to be differnt from well to well so you will deffinately check that. Run a full range of tests on it so you know exactly what you are putting in your tank. but like i said, if the water is within parameter, it s good, additives or not. what are you keeping inside?

Well water is probably better than city water because of no added chemicals. One could argue that well water could get contaminated by run off chemicals but ehh most likely not.

+1 i know that the water wer i am originally from is way underground. all the sand and soil filters it out before it gets to the aquifer.

I'm mainly just wanting to use it with my "less valuable" setups such as my Betta rescues and cichlid.

I've bred fish in well water for over 3 years and I don't test regularly. I've never used water treatments.

for things like that, yes for sure. honestly it would probley be fine for most everything. like i said if its good, its good lol.
