How small of a ray can I get?

I just posted this in another thread but figured I would start a new one to help all the guys asking about tank size and small rays. This is a standard 75 gallon with a 9" ray in it. Just gives you an idea with tail how big a 9" ray really is. When you talk 18" ray the disk would be touching front to back when it is turned sideways. This is why 24" wide tanks are starter tanks only and 30" plus are recommended.

I think a visual will go a long way for a lot of people. I wouldn't think of starting with a 75, but so many people insist on starting with the smallest tanks possible.
