What Catfish Do You Keep?

is that what they told you? Umm hate to break it to you but if raised right then expect 14" minimum wth 18" being possible.

Others have told me 24", but we'll see what they top out at in a few years, lol. Right now they're growing as slowly and are no more messy than my h. littorale were in the same size range. Have you tank-raised them to the size you mentioned? If you did, what was their diet and growth rate like?

Never kept bullheads (going to grow one out in a few months). I have a few friends that have them (all different kinds). In their experience from what they told me, they are "enthusiastic eaters" during feeding but for the rest of the day just "sit around in their own crap" which there is a lot of. His browns are 2 years old and 11" each.

no matter how good you treat them, if they every do get 24" (very doubtful) it will takes years.
