Hi all,
I should have a few of these in the next couple of hours.
What do you guys think is a good temperature? High end sub-tropical?
Thanks.

Nice find!

I would start them mid range on the sub tropical side and then work from there.

i keep mine sub tropical and she seems to enjoy it. Around 20 degrees is my temp.

Thanks, Auranti. Yours looks happy and shows great color.

Thanks DC, the tank is currently around 23C.

This species is wild caught in Thailand. I remember reading about people keeping Thai C. Gachua in tropical temps year round. I will probably let them go down around 20C for winter and 28C for summer.

Hmm.... if my math is right your a couple day's over due on proving pic's ! LOL

The photos really don't do them justice. The pectoral fins are bright red, and they have a very thick red border on the tail. They will be very striking when they are fully settled in.

So after some more research, it looks like they should be fully sub-tropical. I'll probably go down to 17C for the cool period and 26-28C for the warm period. I will let the warmer months go on for a little bit longer than my other sub-tropical species.
