bass have been fairly cooperative and the shad are starting to run pretty thick. bout a month before the offshore fishing blows wide open

top left has a pink stripe, freakin awesome bro! I once caught an LMB in my creek with a pronounced gold stripe, no pics sadly.
Anyone actively fish for bowfin in the north east of the states? My only fishing goal this year is a monster bowfin. Some of the old timers around here have told me stories of one's pushing the four foot mark.

You in PA to bro! I've been meaning to get out for Bowfin for a good while as well. Hopefully somebody can give us both a good answer. All I know is there are some monster ones in the outdoor native tanks (basically ponds with one side glass) at the Pittsburgh aquarium. Here is the best picture I got:
